Oahu, Hawaii April/May 2017

We decided for an adventure and took our chances on flying space A (military planes) to Hawaii. We had to get to Travis AFB, which is near Sacramento. We drove through Utah to drop Chloe off at my parents and stay for a night to split the drive up. While we were there, Roni came to do my hair and bring Rubi so we could meet her... well I already had when she was born, but was already so much bigger!

My dad got the little horses from the neighbors for the kids to ride!



After spending a day in Utah, we made our way to Travis AFB and stayed in a Hotel on base. There was a flight leaving that next morning, so we crossed our fingers and headed to the terminal on Saturday morning. After waiting for a bit for roll call, we were called on the flight!







Once we landed in Hawaii, Abe had to take a taxi to the Honolulu airport to pick up our rental car. The kids had fun playing around while we waited. There was also the nicest family we met on the flight that was living in Hawaii. When we got there, they ran back to their house and brought us boogie boards, beach chairs, a cooler and some other stuff to borrow. SO nice!!





We stayed at Bellows AFB in a cabin right near the beach. It was so nice to walk out of our cabin, across the street and be at the beach! Behind our cabin was a lush forest area that the kids loved to play in while we were getting dinner ready. We had such a good time!




































































































On the way back we got on a passenger/rotator plane with flight attendants! The kids were so excited for TV's and a hot meal!





Of course we had to get In and out before we headed to Utah to pick up Chloe!
