More pictures
This is mostly a grandpa/Norah picture overload from when we went to the Park City splash pad. I couldn't help but post all of them because they are so dang cute. Norah loves her grandpa.

Counting the days...
Ten more days until I get to see Abe. Until girls get to see daddy. We all cannot wait! It has seemed like forever since we saw him. We have totally managed on our own, however it has been tough trying to get everything ready for Germany. I did not have ANY IDEA how much went into an international move. We will have 2 shipments, 1 day of storage and will also have to ship our car. We also have had to get Chloe "ready" for the move, flights booked, military passports on their way, we will need travel passports for the girls, etc. etc. etc. Thank goodness I have had friends willing to help watch my girls while I have had several appointments to schedule everything. A couple weeks ago I was sick and completely overwhelmed with everything (& had to get a root canal) and called the airlines in tears trying to change my flight to Utah to go a week earlier. Unfortunately I was going to take over $600 to change our tickets and I decided it was not worth it.
On Wednesday the girls and I flew in to Utah. I think it was almost 6 hours of flying time (plus a layover) and the girls were complete ANGELS. I was so relieved. As soon as we got to my parents house, Adeline ran inside and immediately put on her jeans, cowboy boots and begged my dad to take her on a horseback ride. She LOVES riding the horses. Norah was a little worried at first sitting on the horse and wanted to get off. As soon as my dad started riding with her, she was laughing, moving back and forth and saying "giddy up!". We have only been home (in Utah) a couple days, but it is so nice to be around family and not be doing EVERYTHING myself. My sister Sierra came in town for a handful of days so we could see her and our kids are having a blast together.

Since You've Been Gone...
Abe has been gone to training in Alabama for almost three weeks now. The first two weeks were ROUGH. The first week I had to finish my root canal and then right away Norah got sick. She had a sinus infection and two ear infections. She didn't sleep hardly at all for 4-5 nights and it was MISERABLE! Once she was finally feeling better, of course I got sick for about 6 days. It was hard because I had to let my kids run crazy through the house while I laid miserably on the couch trying to get my pounding head any kind of relief. Even though I felt like crap, I still went and did things for my kids so that they wouldn't go completely insane. We went to farms, raspberry/blueberry picking, base splash park and we also did a day trip down to the beach in Connecticut to visit my cousins that were vacationing there. Last week I felt like we had something going on everyday whether it was babysitting other kids all day long, Adeline's birthday, I had to go up to girls camp for an entire day, etc. I am happy that we can do whatever we want this week and relax a little more.

Day trip to Old Lyme, Connecticut at the Beach w/ the Mairs
Drumlin Farms
The girls miss their dad and we can't wait to see him in Utah in 3 weeks! Norah asks me every day (several times a day), "Where did daddy go?" We FINALLY got our orders tonight for Germany. We were supposed to get them 3 weeks ago, but there was a slacker in charge of actually cutting the orders. After I micro managed him a little bit on Friday and today, we magically got them! We have a LOT to do. Military passports, scheduling our goods/move, selling one of our cars, getting a property manager..... the list goes on and on.
My pregnancy has been going well so far. I have felt a little more sick the second trimester, but it hasn't been too bad. I am 16 weeks and we are NOT going to find out what we are having. Adeline keeps saying that it is going to be a boy and that mommy is going to have 2 girls and 1 boy. She says that boys are fun :) I highly doubt it will be a boy, but maybe she will be right :) We miss you and love you so much Abe! Sorry it has taken me so long to get pictures up of what we've done since you've been gone!

The Day of Adeline's Birthday
Abe left for a military training almost three weeks ago and was not able to be here for Adeline's birthday on Wednesday. Even though we celebrated before Abe left, Adeline KNEW what day her birthday was and was counting down the days. I saved one present for her to open and then she also had some cards and another present from the grandparents to open. For lunch time we had a friend come and meet us for lunch at the Rain Forest Cafe. Adeline LOVES visiting the restaurant when we are at the mall just so she can see all the animals. We had only been there one other time since it is not very reasonably priced. Norah was terrified of a gorilla that was sitting behind us and refused to sit in her high chair and had a death grip around my neck the entire time. Camdyn, my friend's little girl was even more terrified and hid her head between her arms on the table almost the entire time. Callie & Adeline thoroughly enjoyed it though. I bought a little kids dessert so they would sing happy birthday to Adeline. Kind of bugged me because they wouldn't sing happy birthday unless you bought dessert and they had some regular latex balloons they would blow up, but we paid for them of course. Afterwards, Adeline wanted to go to build a bear with some money her Great-Grandma Jeanne sent her. Adeline has got SO many bears from here, so I made sure she knew this would be her last one, and from now on she can just get clothes and stuff for her bears.
That night I made Adeline a cake and the 3 of us sang and ate a piece (me, Norah and Adeline). Happy Birthday to my sweet little Adeline! She thinks that she can do things better, run faster, etc. now that she is 4. Adeline is such a loyal friend and a really good sister to Norah. She does boss her around quite a bit, but is always sweet to her. She is an energizer bunny that can go, go, go all day long and hardly takes any rests (and REFUSES to take naps). She is very independent and always seems to know EXACTLY what she wants... to the point where she is disappointed because something is not exactly right (super frustrating for me sometimes). She is competitive, sensitive and generally a pretty happy kid. We love her so much! Happy Birthday Adeline!!
