Where to Start....

I have not been too excited about updating my blog, because I feel like I have way to much to update. So I apologize in advance that this is such a lengthy post with a ton of pictures. On Thursday I got back from my 2 week vacation to Utah and California. I first have to apologize to all my friends. I had a very busy schedule and was all over the place. I really didn't have any time to see any of my friends, which I was sad about. I am coming again the beginning of August however and would love to see you!

Here are the highlights of my trip:

UTAH (Abe was able to come with me here)

- I cut my hair. I measured the pony tail and it was 13.5 inches, plus she had to cut off more to style it. I donated my hair to locks of love. Crazy how long my hair got. I seriously looked like a polygamous... especially in this before picture

-Getting Adeline on the horse. She was terrified at first, but then loved it and started waving like a rodeo girl. What a little ham:)

-Adeline's tractor ride w/ Grandpa

-sister in law's bridal shower. She is getting married in July and I am so excited for her!

-Maggi's (Sister in law) family pictures (see my photo blog if you are interested) & Roni's (another sister in law) bridals

-Seeing Meghan, her mom and little Beck. So glad that ended up working out last minute!

-Girls night out with Abe's sisters and mom before Roni's big day.... uh didn't take any pictures except for Roni pretending to look polygamous

-Swimming w/ Abe and my mom at the Kamas Rec center. Adeline was terrified of the slides. Abe took her on the big slide and laid her on his lap while he was laying down. Let's just say they both shot out of the slide and wen right under the water for a couple seconds. After that we tried taking her down a little slower and were more successful.

-Horseback ride with Abe, Mori & my dad

-Going to Mt. Pleasant to see Abe's family
*here are some of the nieces and nephews wrestling Abe*

CALIFORNIA (my friend Kara from Ohio came with me)

- Going to Andrea's wedding on the beach. She was so beautiful and it was a blast seeing the girls I used to work with. I think my friend has the picture of us at the wedding???

-Staying with Carley and Chad and seeing her boys and her 4 month little girl that I have never met

-lunch with Bridget and Kyle (sorry we didn't get to see you longer.... once again, crazy schedule)

-Watching Jojo and Adeline play together all week

-LOVED seeing my sisters. Oh how I wish I lived next to them :)

-Yogurt Land 3 nights in a row.... already craving it again.

-Going to the Beach

-Spending more time with Emerson... he is such a cutie and the most chill baby I have EVER met. I hadn't seen him since he was a newborn.

-Riding the Ferry to Balboa Island

-Santa Barbara.... we rented a little pedal bike and stuck Adeline on the front. It was such a blast. Then we had lunch on the Pier and went to the Candy shop. Kara has all these pictures... I will hopefully post them later.

-Spending more time with Kara!

-Adeline learned how to crawl out of her crib. I had to hold the door shut to lock her in every night for about two hours until she finally fell asleep at the crack of the door. Then when I went to bed I had to push her out of the way to try and get in. The last two nights Mason was smart enough to tie her door shut so I wouldn't have to stand there forever trapping her. What a nightmare.

We had such a blast on our trip. I have to say that I was relieved to come home though. We didn't actually get home until Friday at 4 am. Let me just say... try not to travel frontier if you can avoid it and don't fly through Denver!!

On Friday I had a 14 week ultrasound. The baby looked way different than my 12 week ultrasound. It actually looks like a real baby now with fingers, toes and it's head was normal looking size. It just stood on it's head the entire time pretty mellow. Funny because Adeline was always crazy in my belly. Maybe this will be a mellow kid?? Ha, that would be nice :)

Friday day we went to Ceaser Creek and met up with our friends that have a boat. I just stayed on the beach and played with the kids and my friends. It was such a nice day and the water was actually pretty warm. Adeline loved it!

Friday night we went to "Tattoo". It is a big event here once a year around this time. It is a type of 4th of July celebration of sorts. It was fun seeing all the cool planes doing fly byes, eating carnival type food, listening to music and seeing fireworks.

*watching the fireworks*

*showing off tattoos on their arms and Adeline's leg*

Today we went to Splash Moraine. It is a mini water park/splash park. It was pretty ghetto, but we still had a good time. Abe was free (active duty), Adeline was free, and I was only $4 (dependent).... so not bad?

Adeline's hair is almost as white as snow from being in the sun so much. She has started to become a little chatter box. Abe was surprised because the one week he didn't see her she learned so much and was talking better. So it's been a crazy 3 weeks. Sorry for the massive post.

Baby #2....

Is on it's way!! I just had my first ultrasound this morning. We were able to see the baby moving around and got to see and hear the heartbeat. Everything is looking good! I am just about 12 weeks along..... we will be having a Christmas baby!

Lots to catch up....

I have been quite the slacker at blogging... I have just been too busy. So sorry if this is quite the picture overload. First of all, the most exciting thing that happened is that Abe was promoted to a Captain!! I am so proud of him and it is weird to think we have been in the military for four years. So far we have been really lucky with all the opportunities the military has provided us with. After all, who wouldn't like getting paid their full salary (not work), but go to school to get a FREE master's degree? We'll take it!

A couple other things we have been up to.....

Reds Game

Visit from Abe's parents
-I probably bored them to death, but we tried to get out and do fun things. I took them to Wegerzen Gardens... such a cool place. It is a big garden for little kids with a man made river to play in and a water fall. The kids can also go play in the sand, water the flowers, play at a water table, etc. I love that we have so many cool, free metroparks here.

While they were here we also went to Kirtland to see some LDS church history sites. We had a lot of fun site seeing and eating out. Here is a family picture in front of the Kirtland temple...

Like I said in a previous post, Adeline really just wants to be outside all the time. Today we ventured out to the pool on base. It cost a fortune to go their last summer, but for some reason they decided to let military in for free this summer. It is such a nice pool! It was a little on the chilly side when we were there this morning, but it was such a blast. Adeline just wanted to sun bathe on the lawn chairs for awhile with me when we ate our lunch and then we played in the pool. She is such a fun little buddy.

And little Adeline... she is quite the crack up. She really only wants to be naked lately. She fights me when I put on a diaper and clothes. If I turn my head for a couple minutes, she is naked. When I go to get her in the morning, she is naked in her crib. Not quite sure what to do about this problem. What can I say, she is a free spirit!

She is talking quite a bit. She says full sentences. Her favorite things to say right now are "______ right there", or add "right there" into every sentence. She puts "too" in every sentence as well. "Mommy sit here too"... "mommy drink too"... "mommy swimsuit too"... it is pretty cute.

We finally got rid of her stupid bottle. The reason why we kept it for so long is because that is the only way she would take it... warm and in a bottle. The doc told us to keep giving it to her since she is so little. However, we decided to take it away cold turkey. She actually is doing way better than we thought. However she doesn't drink very much milk now. Next up... get ride of the binky at night and a big girl bed!... oh yea and still working on that potty training thing.

It's 1:30am... I really should go to bed.
