Patriots Day

Last Monday was Patriots day and my friend Katy and I decided to venture out to the Lexington Parade. The girls had a blast dancing and the Parade was actually decent. I loved watching all the old men dressed up and so proud. Glad we could take part in the festivities :)

Ohio visit

Last week I was able to take a trip to Ohio to see one of my closest friends Kara. I only ended up taking Norah since I was able to work it out where Adeline was either able to go to a friends house, or Abe was off work. I terribly missed her, but it was also nice having 1 on1 time with Norah. While I was out there I was able to do the one year walk through of our old house (we are renting it).

It's funny because I REALLY miss Ohio. Most of it probably has to do with Kara living right smack next door to our old house. Oh how I would give anything to live right next to her again!! Made me a little sad. Don't get me wrong, I love Boston... but it's not the same. Kara's baby Makenna and Norah had such a blast together. It was fun seeing them interact and play. Here are some of the highlights...

Photo shoot w/ the girls... this is what Norah looked like 99% of the time. LIttle Stinker

Gym Class

Seeing our old neighbor Sylvia ("clair"). Adeline LOVED Sylvia when we lived there. Sylvia didn't really get to know Norah very well since she was only 3 months old when we moved. It was fun seeing them bond.

Young's Dairy... Adeline's old stomping grounds :)

(norah getting to meet her long lost friend Jojo. Wish I had a picture with you Bridgette!!)

Airplane rides. NOT very fun with a 15 month old that wants to run around everywhere but doesn't understand :)

Yogurt Mountain. I am pretty sure I am obsessed with frozen yogurt. I would take one of these any day over a meal :)

Look at Norah's face. She cracks me up! I set this in front of her and immediately she looked down and then up and was like "is this ALL mine!!???" So funny.

Easter egg hunt! Norah totally knew what to do and was moving pretty fast to grab the eggs.

Spring, Bowling, 1st Dentist Appointment, 15 Month Apointment

I am SO SICK of the winter weather and we finally have had a couple of days that feel like spring. It doesn't look like Spring yet though. Hopefully in the next week or two! I have enjoyed being able to actually take the girls on walks to the park again and not having to wear a winter jacket. I feel like Norah has not really been able to go exploring outside ever since the last time the weather was nice she couldn't walk and in the winter... well, she hated the snow.

Random picture of Adeline's "white" hair as she calls it. It is getting so long!

The girls love each other so much and it is so cute. They are becoming little buddies.

Adeline has been spending a lot of time with her partner in crime, Mary. They are the cutest little buddies and love each other so much. We took them bowling and they had a good time, but mostly just wanted to run around and play with each other.

Adeline had her first dental appointment. I talked about it with her for awhile before her actual appointment and she wasn't very excited about it. She was so brave though and was extremely calm through the entire experience. I was happy I took her to a pediatric dentist because they did a great job in catering to kids and doing baby steps. Adeline was silent the entire time and didn't say anything while they were cleaning her teeth. When they were done, she said she was hot and that her tummy really hurt. At first I was worried she was sick or something until I realized she had just been extremely worried and nervous about the situation. As soon as they were done and gave her a prize, she started talking up a storm and that was it! She amazes me because even though she REALLY doesn't want to do something sometimes and is nervous about it, she still acts totally calm and doesn't freak out. I am thankful for that!

The dental hygienist gave Adeline some gloves, a mask and then of course a toothbrush, toothpaste and floss to bring home. She played "dentist" on all of us several times in the days following her appointment. She must have been really impressed by the dentist because she says that's what she wants to be when she grows up now!

Last but not least, cute little Norah had her 15 month appointment. Her doctor isn't the best at informing me what her stats are, but I do know that she is now 18lbs 4oz and that puts her in the 4th percentile. She is still a little peanut. She is all of the sudden a little toddler and has quite the personality. Her sense of humor reminds me so much of Adeline's.

Base Easter Celebration

Two weeks ago the base had an easter celebration. It snowed quite a bit the day before and they still had the easter egg hunt outside. So the girls searched for eggs in their jackets and snow boots :) They had a ton of crafts, games and treats for the kids and even the Easter Bunny to visit. Adeline loved being able to be there with her friend Mary and was soaking in all the fun.
Norah was extremely scared of the Easter Bunny and wouldn't get near him. We forced her to sit on Santa's lap for Christmas and decided not to torture her again!

Children's Museum

We went to this darling little Children's Museum a couple weeks ago with some new friends that just moved on base and are also in our Ward. Adeline LOVED it. We had been one other time and need to go more often. Norah had fun following the older girls around and trying to be a big kid.
