The beginning of December we finally closed on our house!! The first night we had to stay there without any stuff, but there were lot of people willing to help out and lend blankets and pillows. The next day we got one of our small shipments and it had toys, bedding and some dishes. I honestly didn't care if we had anything… I was just happy to have some space for the kids to run around and not be cooped up anymore!!

The day after that, all of our goods arrived. Hooray!

Of course Meika got sick and passed out on the floor in my office. We just had to movers stack boxes around her and not try to step on her. It is always so stressful for me watching the movers move our furniture and boxes. In Europe it is a good job to work for a moving company and they do quality work. In the States… that is a different story. They don't care if they break or damage your stuff or your house. They figure that you can just make a claim for it. It went pretty smoothly overall, other than a young girl chucking her razor knife out of her hand and knocking our brand new wood floors! Of course some of our stuff got damaged and I filed a claim months ago. I'm pretty sure at this point we will never hear back unfortunately!
That night after we got our huge shipment, my parents knocked on the door at 10:30pm and surprised us!!! I had spoke to my dad and Amanda earlier that day and for some reason got a suspicion that they *might* show up, but I thought it was just wishful thinking. I was so relieved and happy when they did show up! My mom pretty much helped unpack and organize my entire house! My dad helped Abe put in our kitchen hardware and hang my pendant lights. I did have a little mini heart attack when they drilled a hole in the wrong place in my new white cabinets!!! I have the best parents in the world!!
