I walked her into her classroom and helped her get her stuff into her locker. I sat her down at one of the tables where they were doing an activity and she was totally fine. I had to ask her to give me a hug and a kiss before I left and she was like, "bye!". Made me get all choked up for a minute but I was glad I didn't cry and freak her out. When I picked her up she told me that "No boys or girls were mean to me! They were all nice!" Glad she likes it! Crazy I have a preschooler.

Picking her up from Preschool!

Walking home...

And of course Norah was happy Adeline was home from school too!

They gave us this little keepsake card where we can put a picture of her on her first day of school. I thought it was cute. It says:
THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL
I gave you a little wink and a smile
As you entered my room today.
I know how hard it is to leave
And simply walk away.
You've been together for several years.
You've been a loving guide.
But now the time has finally come,
To leave your child by my side.
Just know that as you drive away
And tears may start to flow,
I'll love your child as I would my own
And help your little one to grow.
So place a favorite picture here,
And cherish it in your own way.
And know your child will be safe and loved
As we work and learn each day.
{It did make me cry when I read this}

OMG, school!? She's growing up so fast!
You have a preschooler already? I can understand the urge to cry. They grow up so fast! I love the proud mommy and daddy pictures. How nice that she is excited to go too, that has to make it easier.
That's crazy she's in school?! Is it all day or half day? Pictures are cute, as always.
Love the new changes to your blog!
Okay, that poem is amazing and made me cry, even though I don't have a preschooler yet... They grow up too fast!
I can't believe Adeline is in preschool! I love the pictures and I love that poem too...I wish I had it when I was teaching Kindergarten - I had lots of crying mommas :) I'll totally be one of them too soon. I'm glad Adeline wasn't crying though, she sounds very ready for preschool.
